Corianne Almekinder

Upper Primary Teacher

I received my M.S.Ed. in Childhood Education and Museum Education from Bank Street College in New York City. Prior to joining Cobblestone, I taught in 2nd and 4th grade classrooms at a progressive independent school in Brooklyn. Before working in a classroom, I spent four years as a museum educator at the Rubin Museum of Art, where I developed and gave tours to hundreds of school groups based on what the students were studying in their classrooms.

I am passionate about integrating the arts into classroom activities, to help students make artistic and creative connections to the world around them. I look forward to continuing this approach at Cobblestone. I am so impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of Cobblestone’s students, teachers, and staff, and am excited to become a part of this community!
