Dyrell Jackson

Physical Education Teacher

My Name is Dyrell and I am the P.E. teacher here at Cobblestone. Physical Education is my passion on all levels, teaching first and foremost. In addition to teaching here, I also teach at the YMCA and coach youth football. I have worked with youth since high school and absolutely love to see the improvements they make in their skills, confidence and self-esteem. As a teacher, I feel it is important to teach every child in the class not just the game, but the skills needed in order to play the game as well. This will encourage students to explore and learn new concepts and try some things they might not have thought of trying before.

I have earned my Associate’s degree at MCC and my Bachelor’s at The College at Brockport, both in Physical Education. My teaching experience includes everything from Pre-K to high school. I am also very big on Adaptive P.E. where the integration of disabled students is priority. I look forward to having a fun-filled year here at Cobblestone and am truly excited to teach the children the benefits of physical activity.
