Charlotte Giebel

Music Teacher

I have been teaching music at Cobblestone School since 2009. After attending boarding schools for missionaries' children in Nigeria, I studied Music Education at Queens College in New York City. My master's degree is in Theological Studies from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, Massachusetts.

My husband of 37 years is a Professor of Art at Roberts Wesleyan College. We enjoyed homeschooling our four children over twenty-one years. During that time I taught music classes part-time for the Hochstein School of Music and Dance.

Working at Cobblestone School through Hochstein has been a joy. I appreciate the enthusiasm of the children, the kindness of my colleagues, and the support of the administration. In class, we work together to build musical skills through singing, moving, playing instruments, and both writing and reading music notation. In addition, we are encountering the music of great composers and learning about their lives together.

My passions include my faith, my family, the education of children, music, art, and literature.
