Financial Aid

Financial aid is awarded based on financial need. Each spring an ad hoc Financial Aid committee convenes. Minimally, this group consists of the Director, a teacher, a Board member, and a parent representative. Additional members may be added at the Director's discretion.

Interested parents request a form through the school's office from the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in Princeton, New Jersey. The committee makes its decision based upon the input provided to us by the SSS. All financial information provided to the school is held in strict confidence.

Awards are allocated to support as many families as possible. Existing families already receiving aid are given priority, although each year an evaluation of current financial information must be made. Maximum awards provided are one half tuition.

Families wishing to apply for aid should submit their applications to SSS no later than March 15th each year. In the case of divorce or separation, the school requests financial information from both parents. SSS requires approximately four weeks to process applications. The financial aid committee convenes in late April; awards are made as early in May as possible. Aid applications will be considered once families submit a signed contract for their child.

Requests for financial aid do not affect Cobblestone's admission process.
