Primary Grades Teacher

Originally from Long Island, I came to Rochester to attend Nazareth College, where I received a BS in Art Education. I loved the diversity and nature of the area so much that I decided to stay. Subsequently, I completed my MS in Liberal Studies from SUNY Brockport and received my permanent certification in Art Education.

Immediately after graduating, I served as a classroom aide at Cobblestone School. Subsequently, I taught for 6 years in the Diocese of Rochester schools, while working summers as a Cobblestone Summer Camp counselor.

I returned to Cobblestone full-time in 2009, to work with my wonderful and creative colleagues, and to teach in the Primary Grade. I have always enjoyed working with 4-6 year olds. Everything is magical and new to them, bringing out their natural curiosity, kindness, and ability to connect with each other, while developing their individual personalities and preferences.

I love being in nature, and I am passionately interested in the diversity of world cultures. I hope to pass this passion on to my students through our discussions and projects. My goal is connect as many content areas as possible, and provide as many hands-on experiences as I can, in order to make learning experiential. When children are active participants in their own education, learning is really FUN!
