Class Schedules

At Cobblestone, a theme approach is used with the integration of subject areas, skills and content. The daily schedule for each class reflects how all these areas are woven together for different levels of learners.

At each level, the exploration of a theme, which can be as specific as a particular animal, or as wide-ranging as “celebration” is at the heart of each week’s schedule. Theme time is spent in discussion, exploration, experimentation, and research during which students can integrate and apply all the academic and artistic skills they are developing at other times in the weekly schedule. In addition to theme time, and periods dedicated to core subject areas, such as math, reading and writing, the school offers weekly classes in art, music (choral and instrumental), Spanish, and physical education.
